Part-Time Interim General Counsel (Remote + Monthly Chicago Travel)

Our client is seeking a Part-Time Interim General Counsel to support ongoing legal initiatives and help guide the organization through a period of operational complexity and growth. This role offers flexibility with primarily remote work and occasional travel to Chicago.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with the in‑house legal team to support and execute current priorities
  • Lead and manage multiple litigation efforts, providing updates to the CEO and Board
  • Advise leadership on emerging risks and help prepare for future challenges

What We're Looking For:

  • Extensive experience in corporate litigation (construction industry a plus)
  • 10+ years as General Counsel or Senior Counsel, ideally in challenging or evolving business environments
  • Strong presence working with C‑suite and Boards
  • JD required, active and in good standing with the Illinois Bar

Work Setup:

  • Primarily remote
  • Expected to travel to Chicago once a month
