As part of our strategic initiative, we are separating two business units to operate independently on their own Oracle platforms. We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Production Support/Data Mapping Specialist to join our team and ensure a smooth transition and ongoing support for these independent business units.

The Oracle Production Support/Data Mapping Specialist will play a crucial role in the separation of two business units within the organization. This role involves ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of the Oracle platforms, as well as mapping and migrating data to support the independent operation of each business unit. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Oracle systems, strong data mapping skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle Production Support:
   - Provide daily production support for Oracle applications and databases.
   - Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal system functionality.
   - Collaborate with IT and business teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
   - Perform regular maintenance, patching, and upgrades of Oracle systems.
   - Ensure high availability and disaster recovery planning and testing.

Data Mapping and Migration:
   - Analyze data requirements and develop data mapping strategies to support the separation of business units.
   - Design, develop, and implement data migration processes, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
   - Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data needs and map data from source to target systems.
   - Conduct data validation and reconciliation to ensure successful data migration.

Project Support:
   - Work closely with project managers to plan and execute the separation of business units on Oracle platforms.
   - Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise and recommendations.
   - Develop and maintain documentation related to data mapping, migration processes, and production support activities.
   - Assist in the development and execution of test plans to ensure successful system transitions.

Continuous Improvement:
   - Identify opportunities to improve system performance and streamline support processes.
   - Stay updated with the latest Oracle technologies and industry best practices.
   - Provide training and support to end-users as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Oracle production support, data mapping, and data migration.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).
- Experience with data migration tools and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with project management methodologies is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional).
- Experience with cloud-based Oracle solutions.
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with other database systems and data integration tools.
