We are exclusively partnering with our client, who is focused on developing and scaling up proprietary technologies for green industrial chemicals. As an Operations/Project Engineer, you will participate in the development and daily operation of the facility. The position offers a unique possibility to work on cutting-edge bio-refinery technology and comes with all benefits of a leading actor in the field. Persons must have a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree- applicants without one of these degrees will not be reviewed.
Main Tasks:
- Manage capital projects for the plant
- Maintain the Operating Discipline for the asset
- Provide troubleshooting and daily technical guidance to the operations team
- Collaborate with the maintenance and projects teams on crafts work execution
- Transfer of operating learnings to Standard Operating Procedures and training materials
- Monitor process variables across area definition for optimization
- Troubleshoot efforts to eliminate deviations
- Collaborate with the Process Control function to improve controllability
- Serve as the process area Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Management of Changes (MOC)
- Collaborate with the technology team to define improvements to the asset
- Coordinate with maintenance on isolation/repairs of equipment
- Develop and maintaining the production / outage schedule for the asset
- Analyze and reporting cause/effect data collected during operation
- Analyze utilization & reliability data for the asset
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for, EHS,Process Safety Management (PSM) incidents, and quality
- Participate in HAZOP (Hazardous Operation) & (Levels of Protection Analysis) LOPA activities
- Lead the closure of action items generated during safety reviews such as HAZOP, LOPA, MAR and RCA
- Support housekeeping by orientating the techs

Profile:
- 5-10 years of professional experience in process design or plant operations
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
- Operating experience in multi-effect evaporation, ion exchange, solvent extraction, distillation and ion exclusion unit operations preferred
- Proven leadership & collaborative team work capabilities
- Holds a valid passport
- Experience with developing & teaching complex technical training for operations
- Top-tier technical writing and group presentation skills
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Flexibility and independence to work in a changing and unstructured environment
