Operational Resilience Technology Implementation Lead

Position Overview
A financial institution is preparing to implement a new operational resilience platform, with Fusion and ServiceNow currently under consideration. The organization is seeking a senior project leader who can work alongside the selected software provider and the firm's internal subject-matter experts to drive the implementation.
The consultant will provide project leadership and operational resilience expertise while helping the organization remain focused on essential requirements and standard platform functionality rather than unnecessary customization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operational resilience platform implementation from planning through execution.
- Coordinate activities across the software provider, internal SMEs, technology teams and business stakeholders.
- Translate operational resilience requirements into practical system capabilities.
- Maintain the project plan, governance, milestones, risks and dependencies.
- Challenge unnecessary customization and promote use of out-of-the-box functionality.
- Ensure the solution supports critical-service identification, criticality assessments, dependency mapping and the broader operational resilience lifecycle.
- Provide functional guidance based on previous operational resilience technology implementations.
- Keep the project moving while holding internal and external stakeholders accountable.
Desired Experience
- Previous implementation experience with Fusion, ServiceNow Operational Resilience or a comparable platform.
- Strong project or program leadership within a financial institution.
- Knowledge of operational resilience frameworks, processes and data requirements.
- Experience working directly with software providers without relying on a traditional systems integrator.
- Ability to engage business, risk and technology stakeholders at senior levels.
- Strong judgment regarding configuration versus customization.
Engagement Profile
- Likely structured as one senior consultant.
- Must combine execution leadership with operational resilience functional expertise.
- Not expected to independently own the entire solution design.
