We are working with a client in the Galleria area to add an experienced Network Engineer to their team. This individual will be responsible for designing, maintaining and administering the company's computer networks.
Experience with SD-WAN, VMWare, VEEAM and Windows Servers is required.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and administering computer networks
- Identifying, monitoring, and defining the security requirements
- Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
- Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures.
- Replacing faulty network hardware components when required.
- Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software and email applications.
- Maintaining firewalls, virtual private networks, web protocols, and email security.
- Monitoring network performance to determine appropriate adjustments.
- Conferring with network users about solving existing system problems.
- Defining and maintaining security policies.
- Coordinating computer network access and use.
- Maintaining switches and servers.
- Designing, configuring and testing networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software.
- Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including virtual servers, WAN sites, firewall, routers, switches, controllers and WAP devices.
- Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
