Lucas Group has partnered with a midstream operating company in their search for an Midstream Accounting Manager. This is a contract to hire position with expected conversion date within 3-6 months.
Scope of Responsibilities:
- Strong understanding of midstream contracts including gas, water, crude gathering, processing and transportation
- Strong Accounting knowledge and understanding of financial statements
- Understanding and ability to analyze monthly gross margin for gas, crude and water assets
- Ability to interface with producers and customers regularly to resolve settlement issues
- Analyze revenues and expenses, explain variance analysis between current/prior/budgets/forecasts
- Reconcile gross marging accounts related to income statement and balance sheet monthly
- Prepare and maintain master inventory schedule and general general ledger entries
- Understanding of revenue recognition requirements
- Reconcile weekly AR report
- Review and approve journal entries

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Over 3-5 years of midstream accounting experience
- Managerial experience is required
- Strong knowledge of midstream gathering and processing business and settlements
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Waterfield system experience a plus
