Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain off-prime coil reapplication programs
- Review/approve outside processed orders and maintain outside processing order set up programs’ information
- Review/disposition of non-conforming coils held at outside processors
- Assist mill/sales personnel with PPAP requirements, procurement of samples for automotive qualifications and/or outside laboratory testing
- Maintain programs for on-line access to material specification standards and notification of changes to mill personnel
- Coordinate yearly outside processor/vendor agreements
- New outside processor development
- Active outside processor evaluations
- Occasional travel to outside processor facilities
- Quality and outside processing projects- includes Home Office projects as well as joint projects with other flat roll group division representatives
Education Requirements
Minimum B.S. in Metallurgical or Material Science Engineering.
Experience Required
Minimum hot roll, cold roll and coated product mill experience. Product metallurgists are good candidates for this position. Would also prefer someone with a thin slab technology background or high strength steel experience.
Relocation
Relocation to the Upper Midwest area is required. Moving package is available.
