TITLE: Medical Literacy Editor, Patient Engagement
Location:
100% remote
6-Month contract
Our client is looking for a Medical Literacy Editor, Patient Engagement that will work with the Patient Engagement Editorial team to ensure Patient Engagement content complies with established templates, adheres to health literacy and plain language principles, standard terminology, style, consistency, grammar, punctuation, and appropriate reading levels.
What You'll Do:
- Organize and structure new manuscripts and scripts to comply with company templates
- Edit new manuscripts and scripts to comply with health literacy and plain language principles, , standard terminology, and for consistency, grammar, punctuation, and ensure the appropriate reading level for documents
- Work as a team to maintain schedule for new and existing documents
- Communicate with assigned clinical reviewers. Query reviewers regarding the accuracy of medical content, current practices and guidelines, new research and technology, and other clinical best practices and references during the review process for new as well as existing documents
- Ensure associated documents are updated in accordance with existing main document review revisions
- Publish new documents and update existing documents, using the content authoring too
- Communicate with the clinical team to ensure that customer content requests are addressed in a prompt and satisfactory manner
Skills / Experience You Will Need:
- BA/BS in English, Journalism, or other related areas
- High comfort level and experience with technology
- 2+ years of editing experience
- Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
- Experience with plain language and or certification in plain language a plus
