Our client is seeking a candidate for a Marketing Manager role with refrigeration experience in a retail environment.  They will be responsible for the strategy and implementation of remote data and business intelligence services provided by our client that manufactures controls and humidication systems and solutions as it relates to the HVAC/R industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define key North American market requirements for end users for:
    • Monitoring and alarm services
    • Standard alarm specifications and prioritization
    • Remote dashboard key personas and their dashboard needs
    • Delivery methods that put our client at a competitive par or advantage
    • Usability, intuitive interaction per North American norms
  • Evaluate the company's existing tools and partners and identify gaps compared to NA market requirements
  • Develop a strategy for best meeting or exceeding market requirements through
    • Collaboration with global HQ resources
    • Collaboration with USA HQ resources
    • 3rd party solutions
    • Partners or potential partners
    • Remote services integration to the company and/or 3rd party software and services
  • Gain approval for and acceptance of strategy
    • USA HQ
    • Global HQ
    • Peer relationships
  • Plan initiatives and projects with others to implement strategy
  • Accountable for commercial-readiness and implementation of products and services
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed or assigned by the Head of Sales

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each ESSENTIAL DUTY satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • EDUCATION – 4 year university degree or equivalent. Marketing degree or similar/equivalent is preferred.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS - Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skill.
  • REASONING SKILLS - High degree of business aptitude. Is able to align the actions of self and surrounding internal and customer teams with strategy.
  • EXPERIENCE – 4 or more years in a professional product requirements-gathering and feedback role with participation in the development cycle (for software or practices) required. Experience managing voice-of-customer interests is key. Experience working in the refrigeration controls industry (HVAC/R with emphasis on R) preferred. The most competitive applicant will have experience with total store retail control solutions, monitoring services and remote software tools that allows retailers to understand/manage their equipment status remotely.
  • COMPETENCIES – Must be able to manage initiatives vs. tasks, with multiple sub-projects in tandem. Must be able to perform voice-of-customer research in an organized, goal-oriented manner, analyze findings, develop a phased-offer plan and manage priorities with other departments to achieve desired results in the form of products and services commercially available to the market. Demonstrated self-motivation resulting in a high degree of performance without constant supervision is required.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS - The candidate must be fluent in English. Spanish is a plus.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS – Sufficient to calculate return on investment periods and other monetized value in order to assess and propose pricing for new services and tools.
