Lucas Group has partnered with a growing manufacturing in the building material industry for a Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for manaing and implement all production operations and shop activities. Leadership is a key to the success of this positon.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
Responsibilities include:
- Manages the operations of all production areas to ensure that volume, cost, and quality standards are achieved.
- Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage, mentor, and develop plant staff
- Plans and establishes work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity.
- Provides ownership of daily production and process operations. Provides production process analysis and makes recommendations on solutions to process improvements.
- Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
- Perform Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis in the management and improvement of work performance.
- Familiar with a variety of the industry’s concepts, practices, and procedures relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks requiring a certain degree of creativity and latitude.
- Manages subordinate staff including Supervisors and Leads in the day-to-day performance of their jobs across 3 shifts.
- Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
- Extensive knowledge of sheet metal and aluminum fabrication methods
- Drive LEAN initiatives and help develop continuous improvement processes
- Understand and follow Quality Policy, and help develop System Procedures and Operations Manuals.
- Support and implement all safety initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Dipola or equivalent is required
- Ten years ov experience in Custom Metal Manufacturing
- Supervisor or managerial experience 5-6 years required
