Lucas Group is working with a fantastic client in the El Segunda area to identify a strong HR Manager for their growing team. Will report to a VP of HR and sit on a competent and progressive HR team.
In this role, the Human Resources Manager will provide support to managers and employees across a variety of locations in California, Arizona, and Texas and supports the HR department's everyday operations and long-term strategy. This is a full time, exempt level position located in El Segundo, CA. This role focuses on ER areas and oversight of employee benefits per below.
Duties:
- Work cross-functionally to ensure robust business operational practices that encourage business efficiency, including bringing best practices in HR operations
- Project manage the implementation of the new HRIS and benefits systems; oversee the ongoing maintenance of current HRIS and benefits systems (HRO, StratusTime, Paychex) and new systems once implemented
- Develop, implement and streamline processes within the HR department
- Establish and maintain relationships with third-party vendors including benefits and 401(k) brokers and TPAs, HRIS & benefits vendors, etc.
- Will manage a 2 person team supporting core HR functions for all employees
- Oversee all New Hire, Status Change and Termination processes including employee orientation
Oversee all company benefits including:
- Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Life/ADD, LTD, Supplemental Benefits, Wellness Programs, Total Rewards Statements
- Two annual Open Enrollments
- Large variable hour employee population with extensive ACA compliance requirements
- Annual 401K and ACA audits
- Oversee employee Leaves of Absence and Accommodations
- Oversee employee Safety & Risk including safety initiatives, risk management, emergency preparedness and OSHA compliance
- Oversee Workers’ Compensation program (captive insurance program experience a plus)
- Serve as point of contact for all escalated employee issues
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements (ex. paid sick leave, leave laws, training requirements, minimum wage)
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Business Management, Human Resources or related field
- 5+ years of HR experience in a fast-paced environment
- Proven management and leadership capabilities, ability to motivate and develop employees
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with persons within and outside the organization
- PHR, PHR – CA, or SPHR preferred
- Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Must be proficient at Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint
