Manager of Financial Reporting & Consolidations needed for an oil & gas organization located downtown. Key areas of responsibility for this position include:
Prepare the monthly consolidation entries and ensure the accuracy of the consolidated financial statements.
Lead the preparation of financial statements and related analysis ensuring all financials are prepared in a timely and accurate manner; prepare and present financial statements and related reports/analysis, and variance analysis to management
Participate in monthly balancing of books and account reviews/reconciliations
Prepare monthly and ad hoc journal entries
Research and resolve accounting and business issues
Implement and monitor effectiveness of internal controls
Review accounting processes on a continuous basis to ensure best practices
Coordinate annual independent external audit and liaises with external auditors
Manage and update a schedule of leases and prepare regular journal entries aligned with ASC 842
