You will orchestrate programs across legal ERP (Elite 3E/Aderant), document management (iManage), and legal business applications (Intapp), converting findings into actionable workplans, cutovers, and measurable value capture. You will partner with Managing Partners, Corporate Development, the CIO/IT, Finance, Risk & Compliance, and key vendors to achieve Day-1/Day-100 readiness, ensure uninterrupted timekeeping and billing, and quantified value capture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technology due diligence and integration across legal Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP; Elite 3E/Aderant), document management (iManage), and Intapp to assess performance, risks, constraints, and integration options
  • Build pre-close, Day 1, and Day 100 plans; stand up and run the Integration Management Office (IMO) with RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, decisions), dependencies, and KPIs
  • Design application rationalization and sequencing for ERP consolidation, conflicts and intake, time capture, billing, and eBilling to minimize disruption to the revenue cycle
  • Support data migration and master data management (MDM) including client-matter mapping, chart of accounts harmonization, reconciliation controls, and audit trails
  • Quantify integration cost, near-term investments, and value capture; develop total cost of ownership (TCO) and cash-flow models with phased recommendations to capture early benefits
  • Orchestrate identity, access, and ethical wall design; oversee iManage workspaces, Intapp integrations, and security model alignment with firm policies
  • Coordinate law-firm infrastructure activities including Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft 365 (M365) tenant consolidation, network segmentation, and disaster recovery
  • Prepare board and partner-ready materials with options, implications, costs, and recommendations; facilitate cross-functional workshops to drive decisions

Skills Required

  • Expertise in one or more of the following applications areas:
  • Expertise in ERP & Timekeeping/legal finance systems such as Elite 3E, Aderant or other legal ERP systems across general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, time and billing, rates, and trust accounting
  • Risk management and legal operations knowledge including conflicts, intake, engagement setup, staffing, ethical walls, outside counsel guidelines, and retention schedules
  • Knowledge of legal technology ecosystems including document management (iManage), knowledge management, AI Enablement, and Intapp integrations
  • Integration Management Office (IMO) and Project Management Office (PMO) governance using RAID, stage gates, and KPI dashboards across 5–10 workstreams
  • Financial modeling for value capture, total cost of ownership (TCO), and cost-to-achieve using advanced Excel and scenario analysis
  • Application rationalization and data migration using extract-transform-load (ETL), data quality, and master data management (MDM) practices
  • Cutover planning and hypercare for ERP, timekeeping, billing, conflicts, intake, and partner compensation processes
  • Vendor and license optimization for ERP, document management, and timekeeping; experience negotiating TSAs and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Infrastructure consolidation in law firms including Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft 365 (M365) tenant merges, identity governance, and disaster recovery and business continuity
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled legal-tech tools and document automation as a plus, not required

Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5–10 years in technology consulting or consulting plus industry with M&A/transaction services and law-firm technology integrations
  • Track record from pre-close diligence through Day 1/Day 100 with measurable outcomes in billing continuity, integrations/mergers, and value capture
