Lucas Group has partnered with an organization in a rapidly growing industry who is building out a project delivery team. We are helping them find a Manager of IT Portfolio Delivery on a direct-hire basis.
Key responsibilities:
Manages cross-functional project activities for delivering technology solutions
Responsible for management of a project methodology incorporating technical structures, standards, processes, documentation and reporting that meets the needs of the IT
Utilizes metrics to show progress, results and impact
Enable the large-scale planning process by creating necessary artifacts
Represent business analysis and project management in Centers of Excellence and Communities of Practice
Foster a culture of partnership and open communication with Business partners, IT leaders, and teams to ensure the successful on time delivery and operational readiness of business solutions
Ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets
Work closely with business leaders to ensure initiatives align with overall business strategy and are properly funded, resourced and managed
Support the gathering of business requirements for initiatives within the assigned value stream
Assess change readiness and prepare plans to assist stakeholders through change
Ability to coach, mentor, manage, and provide clear direction to resources and stakeholders
Support the implementation of risk mitigation strategies, contingency plans, and stakeholder communication
Enable rapid resolution or escalation of issues, blockers, and hindrances using company best practices
Assure the management and control of scope and change within the assigned value stream
Responsible for the continuous improvement of project management and service delivery best practices, processes, and tools in collaboration with the COE
Responsible for reporting out to stakeholders on the assigned portfolio including overall timelines, budgets, risks and overall status
Responsible for resource estimation and optimization, hiring, training, coaching, completing performance appraisals and disciplinary actions
Key requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
Master’s degree is preferred
Minimum of five (5) years of experience related to the responsibilities of this position is required
Experience providing work direction to others as a technical expert is required
Experience with systems design, development, deployment and operational support is required
Demonstrated change management and continuous improvement leadership is preferred
Familiarity of the healthcare payer industry and knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare is preferred
Extensive knowledge of agile and project management processes, techniques and tools, development lifecycle
Strong planning, negotiating and influencing skillset
Flexibility in leading technical solutions innovation and organizational change
Demonstrated excellence in analysis and collaboration skills
Hands on proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Project, Visio, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Project Management Certification and/or Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred
