Maintain, repair and install equipment within the 24-7 food production plant. Perform preventative maintenance to keep machines/equipment in good working order for the use of producing product. Assist facilities and production in producing a high quality product.    All Shifts available.

Job Functions:

  • Execute highly diversified duties to maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment in a safe manner
  • Perform maintenance tasks that include, but are not limited to, mechanical, electrical, welding, and troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Troubleshoot / diagnose problems to make unscheduled or emergency repairs during production runs.
  • Repair / replace / modify machines or equipment to improve performance
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment to ensure proper maintenance of machines
  • Dismantle and reassemble machines to test damaged parts and mark defective areas
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Create new or modify existing check sheets to improve machine performance
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situation to proper supervision.
  • Oversee the Installation of equipment within the plant as needed
  • Assist with planning and selecting of new equipment

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.   Skilled Trade School Degree focused in Maintenance and at least three (3) years working experience performing maintenance technician duties in a manufacturing facility, food industry highly desired.    Must have general knowledge and understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), preferably with Allen-Bradley automation.   Must also have hands on experience with electrical controls, hydraulic/pneumatic systems and motor systems.     Plant environment will require standing and bending in a cold environment requires ability to wear personal protective equipment and/or clothing.   May require standing for long hours and require lifting up to 50-75 lbs.     Must successfully pass criminal and pre-employment drug screening prior to assignment
