Job Responsibilities
Work closely with the maintenance and production superintendents to provide the highest possible equipment availability and utility to support the productivity of the converting plant.
Manage a crew of mechanics, improving their skills and knowledge of safety and maintenance methods.
Use predictive/preventive maintenance practices/tools and project planning skills to improve equipment reliability.
Develop preventative/root cause analysis plus implement reliability strategies to prevent equipment downtime.
Identify and implement improvements related to equipment safety, run ability and maintenance cost reduction
Measure effectiveness of maintenance systems to ensure improvement.
Desired experience
Preferred candidate has a Bachelor Degree or Associate Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with a minimum of 5 years’ experience or equivalent supervisory experience.
Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize, maintain attention to detail and recognize time constraints.
Strong safety, mechanical and problem solving skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Strong teamwork skills; desire to coach, develop, and promote the success of a dynamic, goal oriented and fast paced environment.
