Our client is a leader in laundry and linen services. We are working with them on a Maintenance Manager for their brand-new location in Norwich, CT. This role is for an experience manager who will be expected to handle all Engineering, Maintenance, and Facilities work within the site. This is a brand new location so the Maintenance Manager will take an active part in establishing this facility and hiring a team.
Maintenance Manager Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and lead a team of Engineers and Maintenance Technicians.
- Provide hands-on repair (as needed) for production equipment, building systems including HVAC, and facility maintenance.
- Implement a preventative maintenance program.
- Identify areas for cost savings and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all work adheres to company and governmental standards.
- Interface with Operations and other departments to drive site performance.
Maintenance Manager Requirements
- A High School diploma is required. Any advanced education or relevant certifications is beneficial.
- Previous management experience is required.
- Knowledge of industrial laundry equipment is highly preferred.
- Must have extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical repair work and also facility systems.
- Need to be comfortable working with a diverse workforce including employees on probation as part of a 2nd Chance Program.
