We are proud to be partnering with a Fortune 500 client on multiple Maintenance Engineer openings throughout Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, and the Southeast (relocation is being offered). We are looking for skilled Maintenance Engineers to install & maintain industrial equipment. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be expected to install new equipment, conduct routine maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment problems.

To ensure success as a Maintenance Engineer, you should have extensive knowledge of industrial equipment, the ability to work well under pressure, and demonstrate high-level problem-solving skills. You must be able to service, troubleshoot, and repair machinery without causing extended equipment downtime.

 

Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities

  • Inspect equipment and perform routine maintenance.
  • Service and replace old or faulty machinery.
  • Partner with the internal Engineering Teams to develop new strategies for maintaining new & existing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunction.
  • Install new equipment.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to mechanics, engineers and contractors on Reliability strategies and technologies.
  • Write and update maintenance procedures and all necessary documents.
  • Provide technical support on new & existing equipment.
  • Follow all company, state, and federal safety & performance regulations.
 

Maintenance Engineer Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is strongly preferred.
  • Previous professional experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Mechanic, Reliability Engineer, Field Service Technician, or a related role is required.
  • Knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and FDA guidelines.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and heating systems.
  • Ability to read system schematics.
  • Understanding of safety and equipment procedures.
  • Good communication and training skills.
  • Ability to work with heavy equipment.
