Logistics Supervisor (Closed)

Due to their growth and continued expansion, we are partnering with them on a Logistics Supervisor opening out of the Chicago metro (near Midway Airport).

We are looking for a Supervisor who has worked within manufacturing and is a bilingual (Spanish) speaker who can lead a large team with a staff of around 40 including Team Leads. The core responsibilities include oversight of inventory management, material handling and shipping & receiving. The Logistics Supervisor will also drive process improvements for the department. This is a direct-hire role offering a competitive base salary, annual bonus, and benefits.

Logistics Supervisor Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day operations of the department.
• Oversight of scheduling, material handling, shipping & receiving, and inventory management.
• Create or modify departmental processes and procedures to improve performance and reliability.
• Provide supervision to the team including hiring, training, continued development, performance reviews, promotions, or disciplinary actions.
• Leverage knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement.

Logistics Supervisor Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in supervising a Logistics or Warehouse department within a manufacturing environment.
• Bilingual in Spanish & English is required.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kanban replenishment, Kaizen events, 5S, or other process improvement methodologies is preferred.
