Lucas Group has partnered with a leading global supplier of specialty chemicals to identify a Logistics Manager. The Logistics Manager will lead a team of Transportation Planners that oversee the planning & flow of material from point of origin to point of delivery. This will be a High-Visibility role that will report directly to the North American Supply Chain Manager and will be tasked with bringing structure to the company's logistics’ operation.
- Facilitates on-time delivery by managing daily logistics operations of the inbound raw material transportation planning and outbound finished goods transportation planning processes and teams
- Manages existing GPS tracking software on all mobile assets, makes recommendations for upgrades or replacement of software solutions
- Ensures all bulk trailer equipment meets quality requirements and is utilized fully
- Manages all titling and registration of companywide tractors, trailers and other assets
- Actively engages with truck, rail & ocean carriers and recommends preferred shipper of choice to upper management
- Drives freight management optimization and improvement objectives towards improving cost and customer service
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Management
- 7+ years leading logistics activities such as load planning, procurement, inventory management, etc.
- Preferred experience in HAZMAT/Chemical Transportation
