LITIGATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGER (DC)

Our International Law Firm Client is seeking a Manager of Litigation Technology.  The candidate will be responsible for litigation technology consulting, operations processes and procedures, and case support.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage eDiscovery operations and staff including monitoring staff workflow to ensure that workloads are appropriately weighted and balanced; coordinate assignments to meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
  • Provide consultation on eDiscovery technology and best practices to ensure the highest level of client service and satisfaction and manage risks; ensure litigation support team delivers timely technical services and offers appropriate expertise.
  • Provide vendor and budget management for eDiscovery and litigation support projects.
  • Coordinate and manage Relativity environment and outsourced managed services to meet case deadlines.
  • Work with Director to develop processes, procedures, technical papers, and metrics for the eDiscovery process.
  • Lead education and training of legal teams regarding the eDiscovery team’s technologies, procedures, and best practices; maintain and update training documentation on key department services and processes.
  • Assist with development and management of eDiscovery project plans and risk and security management plans.
  • Complete performance evaluation process.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree or JD required.
  • 2+ years of management experience at an AmLaw 200 firm, consultancy, or a national vendor in this space
  • Relativity RCA Certification required; eDiscovery software certifications preferred.
  • Experience with machine learning, analytics, data analysis, and predictive coding preferred.
  • Experience with document review management a plus.
  • Experience with software development a plus.
  • Background in team management, process management and demonstrated experience with litigation support/eDiscovery software and analytics
  • Excellent communication, oral, written and interpersonal skills; ability to influence persuasively and effectively with a collaborative orientation.
  • Ability to set priorities, plan, organize, follow-through, delegation, and negotiation skills is required.
