Our client is seeking an experienced Interim Litigation Attorney to support a high volume litigation docket. This role is fully remote for California licensed attorneys and offers the opportunity to manage cases independently while partnering closely with internal stakeholders. This is an interim/contract assignment with temp-to-hire potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume litigation docket with minimal oversight.
- Handle cases end?to?end, including:
- Case strategy and early assessment
- Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Taking and defending depositions
- Managing mediations and settlement negotiations
- Supporting trial preparation
- Oversee day-to-day case management, deadlines, and client reporting.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- Active California Bar license (mandatory).
- Strong litigation experience with the ability to independently run files in a high?volume environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, organization, and case?management skills.
Preferred Experience
- Insurance defense background strongly preferred.
- Exposure to personal injury, construction defect, or real estate litigation is a plus.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, or high-volume defense environments.
Education & Experience
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- 5-10 years of litigation experience preferred (ideal: 7+).
- Candidates should be capable of working independently while remaining open to collaboration and mentorship as needed.
Compensation
- $100-$125 per hour, depending on experience.
- Flexibility available for highly qualified candidates.
