Lucas Group has partnered with a premier, boutique law firm in the Houston area on its search for a Legal Secretary who has both Appellate and Litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience with Appellate and Litigation cases, be able to maintain in a fast-paced environment, and hit the ground running. Working alongside a tight knit team, this person will be expected to bring immediate impact to the firm.
Job Duties:
- Filing & E-Filing in Appellate court
- Arrange travel schedules
- Create and edit documents as necessary
- Serve as point of contact for cases via email communication
- Create Appellate briefs, table of contents, table of authorities, etc.
- Review and submit new trial documents
- Review and respond to correspondence
- Answer attorney telephone line
- Other duties as required
Experience Requirements:
- Min. of 3 years experience as a legal secretary/assistant with appellate case experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Be able to work in computer programs like Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro, etc.
- Have a positive and team focused attitude
