We have partnered with our client in their search for a Project Manager specializing in LIMS implementations. In this role you will be tasked with leading the LabVantage LIMS integration for our client. This role demands a strong blend of project management expertise and comprehensive knowledge of laboratory operations, particularly within the pharmaceutical sector or related fields. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in steering LIMS projects, with a strong emphasis on LabVantage platforms.


  • Orchestrate the entire implementation process of the LabVantage LIMS for the client, including the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing stages.
  • Work closely with client's laboratory and IT stakeholders to delineate project objectives, deliverables, scope, and timelines in accordance with their specific needs.
  • Conduct meticulous requirements gathering to ensure the LabVantage LIMS aligns with the client's regulatory compliance standards and business objectives.
  • Devise a comprehensive project plan, tracking progress meticulously and adapting to project evolutions as necessary.
  • Oversee project financials, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and attainment of financial objectives.
  • Facilitate the seamless integration of the LabVantage LIMS with existing client systems, liaising with internal IT teams and external vendors.
  • Act as a communication linchpin, ensuring transparent and effective information flow among all project stakeholders.
  • Implement risk management plans to foresee and mitigate project risks.
  • Tailor and deliver a robust user training program, promoting a smooth transition to and high user engagement with the new LIMS.
  • Maintain systematic project documentation across all project stages.
  • Assess project outcomes post-implementation, generating comprehensive reports that encapsulate key learnings and strategic recommendations for future endeavors.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Laboratory Science, or a closely related field.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification is strongly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of direct project management experience, with a minimum of 3 years devoted to managing LIMS implementations, specifically LabVantage.
  • In-depth familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry’s laboratory processes and workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards such as FDA, GxP, CLIA, CAP, and a commitment to maintaining data integrity.
  • Proven leadership in managing complex, multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to ensure project success.
