Description:
In this key role, the Lean Manufacturing Manager will drive Lean implementations at the facility while building and maintaining a Lean Training Program for the organization. This role will build teams that focus on Lean Manufacturing processes and lead preexisting teams to achieve more efficient results. As a member of the facility’s Management Team, he or she will be expected to collaborate with all levels of the organization including Quality, Production, Engineering and Supply Chain. This position will be asked to travel up to 20% of the time.
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a matrix organization with several stakeholders
- Experience with and an understanding of customer relations
- Detail-oriented with the ability to make decisions regarding processes/procedures while working with all levels of the Organization
- Fluent spoken and written English skills
Education Requirements:
- Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline
Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years in Lean Manufacturing Management
- Six Sigma Black Belt
- 10+ years in a manufacturing environment
Responsibilities:
- Make use of Lean-related tools and best practices, such as Gemba, 5S, Visual management and layout development in order to reduce waste and improve efficiencies
- Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner
- Lead teams in Value Stream Mapping for all areas as required by the Site Manager
