Our client is searching for a highly-skilled PHP engineer to join the team in beautiful Tampa, FL (Relocation assistance available to highly-qualified candidates).
The Ecommerce Engineer - PHP will analyze, modify, and develop solutions for the Company’s custom PHP-based ecommerce platform to create a highly engaging consumer experience. The holder of this role will be the subject matter expert on PHP development for these sites, and will employ an extremely high degree of proficiency, efficiency, and accuracy in the execution of this business critical role.

Here's what you'll be doing as a PHP Engineer:
- Effectively and efficiently lead the technical planning and requirements gathering phases of development, including estimate, develop, test, manage projects, and develop architecture
- Rapid development of custom PHP code to meet deliverable deadlines
- Expertly writes clean, modular code that is easily maintained and debugged
- Optimize existing markup for speed and scalability
- Continue existing standards that optimize load speeds and scalability to deliver a world-class customer experience
- Provides technical leadership, reviewing code for accuracy and adherence to best practices and Organizational guideline
- Functions as a mentor for junior team members, offering professional guidance
- Take ownership of project needs, tasks, and communications to ensure timely and efficient completion of assignments

Experience and Skills:
- Expert knowledge and ability developing enterprise-level ecommerce websites using PHP
- Expert knowledge, experience and ability developing HTML5 and CSS3
- Intermediate knowledge, experience and ability writing JavaScript/jQuery
- Intermediate knowledge of current SEO principles
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, and collaborates well with others
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike, including high level decision makers
- Is a self-starter with strong self-management skills
- Can organize and manage multiple priorities
- Able to consistently meet project deadlines
- At least 7 years of verifiable experience as a senior PHP developer for large-scale ecommerce sites
- Bachelor’s degree from a US Regionally or Nationally accredited college or university in Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar degree of study
