We have partnered with our healthcare client in their search for a Lead Data Scientist (Contract-To-Hire).
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders to understand business objectives, assess data availability and quality through exploratory data analysis (EDA), and identify opportunities where AI, machine learning, and generative AI solutions can drive measurable organizational value.
- Design, build, optimize, and deploy production-grade AI/ML solutions, including predictive models, advanced feature engineering, LLM prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, RAG pipelines, ML Ops monitoring frameworks, and scalable data pipelines that integrate seamlessly into enterprise analytics ecosystems.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight by evaluating model performance, fairness, bias, interpretability, and business impact; communicating findings to senior leadership; mentoring team members; managing multiple AI initiatives; and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Skills Required
- Expert-level Python and SQL development experience for building production-grade data science and machine learning solutions.
- Hands-on experience developing Machine Learning models and deploying predictive analytics solutions in enterprise environments.
- Expertise with Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor's Degree (prefers Master's Degree)
- 6-8+ years of Hands-on Experience
