We have partnered with our client in their search for a Senior / Lead Business Analyst to lead delivery across a significant payments regulatory change programme within financial services.

The Role

This role will own end‑to‑end requirements delivery across PSR, PSD2 and PSD3, with a strong focus on payments, Open Banking, SCA and fraud‑related controls. You'll operate at both strategic and hands‑on levels, driving clarity across complex regulatory requirements while ensuring delivery is aligned across multiple teams and streams.

This position suits an experienced BA who has led large‑scale regulatory change, is comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, and can set direction and standards across BA teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owning end‑to‑end requirements delivery across payments regulatory change
  • Leading and mentoring Business Analysts across delivery streams
  • Translating complex regulatory requirements into clear, executable outcomes
  • Managing dependencies, risks and delivery alignment across squads
  • Engaging senior stakeholders across Compliance, Risk, Technology and Programme leadership
  • Supporting regulatory reviews, audits and delivery assurance

Skills & Experience Required

Must‑Have Experience

  • Senior / Lead BA experience within financial services
  • Proven leadership of PSD2 regulatory change
  • Strong exposure to PSD3 transformation initiatives
  • Payments and Open Banking delivery experience

Strong Knowledge of:

  • Payments processing and customer journeys
  • Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) and exemptions
  • Open Banking access models and API‑based delivery
  • Fraud prevention and liability considerations

Delivery & Leadership Skills

  • Setting BA standards and governance
  • Managing ambiguity and challenging unclear scope
  • Operating in regulator‑visible, deadline‑driven programmes
