PMO Transformation Project Lead (IT Portfolio)
Overview
Seeking a hands-on PMO Transformation Project Lead to support an enterprise IT organization undergoing an AI-driven transformation. This role will assess the current PMO, define a future-state operating model, and provide strategic recommendations across people, process, and technology.
This is a consultative, transformation-focused - not a PMO Leader - requiring both strategic advisory and active project portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead PMO discovery efforts and baseline current processes, tools, and structure
- Identify gaps and deliver recommendations for PMO governance and operating model
- Define future-state PMO framework (roles, workflows, best practices)
- Manage a portfolio of concurrent enterprise IT projects
- Drive project execution, prioritization, and portfolio reporting
- Evaluate and enhance key business processes (e.g., quote-to-cash)
- Partner with senior stakeholders to present findings and drive alignment
Day-to-Day
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops
- Document current-state workflows and processes
- Manage active IT projects and status reporting
- Build transformation roadmaps and executive presentations
- Track risks, dependencies, and portfolio health
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Experience managing multiple IT projects in large enterprise environments
- Background in large-scale IT or business transformation
- Experience improving enterprise processes (e.g., quote-to-cash)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Nice-to-Have:
- Project Management certification (PMP or similar)
- PMO transformation or consulting experience
