PMO Transformation Project Lead (IT Portfolio)

Seeking a hands-on PMO Transformation Project Lead to support an enterprise IT organization undergoing an AI-driven transformation. This role will assess the current PMO, define a future-state operating model, and provide strategic recommendations across people, process, and technology.

This is a consultative, transformation-focused - not a PMO Leader - requiring both strategic advisory and active project portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead PMO discovery efforts and baseline current processes, tools, and structure

  • Define future-state PMO framework (roles, workflows, best practices)
  • Manage a portfolio of concurrent enterprise IT projects
  • Drive project execution, prioritization, and portfolio reporting
  • Evaluate and enhance key business processes (e.g., quote-to-cash)
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to present findings and drive alignment

Day-to-Day

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops
  • Document current-state workflows and processes
  • Manage active IT projects and status reporting
  • Build transformation roadmaps and executive presentations
  • Track risks, dependencies, and portfolio health

Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • Experience managing multiple IT projects in large enterprise environments
  • Background in large-scale IT or business transformation
  • Experience improving enterprise processes (e.g., quote-to-cash)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Nice-to-Have:

  • Project Management certification (PMP or similar)
  • PMO transformation or consulting experience

Details

  • Start: ASAP
  • Duration: 6 months (initial)
