Level 2 - MSOPS Systems Engineer
Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize MSP operational platforms and integrations (RMM, PSA, documentation, BCDR, CSP).
- Serve as primary RMM owner, including scripting, automation, monitoring policies, and patching.
- Develop and deploy automation workflows to improve operational efficiency.
- Manage Microsoft 365 licensing, provisioning, and identity sync.
- Troubleshoot advanced system issues, API failures, and automation errors.
- Maintain documentation, standards, and configuration histories.
- Coordinate with vendors and leadership on escalations and platform improvements.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement long-term fixes.
- Lead testing and rollout of new scripts, automation, and platform features.
- Provide L2 escalation support and mentor L1 engineers.
- Ensure full PSA documentation of tickets, changes, and resolutions.
- Perform scheduled firewall reviews and maintenance.
Requirements & Nice-to-Haves
Required/Preferred:
- 2-5 years of IT or system administration experience.
- Experience with:
- DattoRMM
- JAMF
- JumpCloud
- Intune
- Certifications (recommended):
- Datto Certified RMM Practitioner
- Microsoft 365 Endpoint Administrator Associate
- JAMF Pro 200
