Qualified applicants will have a minimum of 10 years of JIB and AP experience, supervisory experience and Bolo.
This role provides overall leadership and direction to the JIB team which consists of 1 Lead and 9 Analysts/Accountants.

Accountabilities
- Ensure accounting and reporting is being performed timely and accurately, in compliance with company’s policies and procedures, including joint interest related functions (allocations, overhead, salaries and other LOE charges), accrual/estimation of LOE and CAPEX process, processing of non-operated Joint Interest Billings, reviewing of AFE’s in the system, and account reconciliations.
- Monthly financial analysis/review and presentation to management.
- Point of contact for all audits (SOX, JV and External Auditor). Review audit reports, provide responses and complete corrective actions if needed. Ensure SOX compliance for Expenditures department.
- Serve as subject matter expert for expenditures processes including the identification and coordination of process improvements.
- Analyze collection of JIB receivables and make recommendations
- Ensure timely response for data requests for inquiries from Land, Marketing and Operations and well as buyers in connection with divestitures.
- Integrate the expenditures accounting of oil and natural gas properties added through acquisitions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Accounting.
- 10 years or more experience in handling JIB Accounting and Accounts Payable.
- 7 years or more supervisory and leadership experience in JIB Accounting and Accounts Payable.
- Understand Sarbanes Oxley compliance documentation requirements.
- Able to lead a team of accountants and communicate effectively with management, peers, Land, Marketing, Treasury, Legal and Operations team members.
- Strong work ethic and excellent organization skills.
- Advance skills in using Excel and advanced knowledge in using the JIB and Accounts Payable module of the BOLO accounting software required.
