Responsibilities
Skills Required
* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 8+ years applied experience * Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability * Advanced in one or more programming language(s), including Java and Spring frameworks * Hands-on experience using Kafka for building and managing real-time data streaming applications, including configuring topics, producers, and consumers, and ensuring reliable message delivery * Hands-on practical experience using AWS cloud services, including designing, deploying, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure with services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, step functions and VPC * Practical experience using IaC tools (example: terraform) to build infra on AWS * Proficiency in automation at various stages of SDLC and continuous delivery methods * Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle * Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security * Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) * In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems * Possesses AWS Developer or Architect Associate certification, demonstrating validated expertise in designing, developing, and deploying applications on AWS cloud platforms * Clear communication and ability to articulate complex ideas to various audiences including business, product, management, executives and tech audiences Nice to have: * Experience in front-end tools such as React, Angular, etc. * Experience with scripting tools, BDD tools for automation * Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms * Experience implementing high throughput, low latency software applications |
