JAVA / .NET DEVELOPER
We are seeking an experienced Java/.NET Developer to join an established development team. The Java/.NET developer will help guide our development team in modernizing legacy apps while building enhancing current and innovative applications. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality delivery of scalable applications and microservices. You will play a key role in shaping architecture, mentoring developers, and driving best practices across the team. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the technical strategy and architectural design for the migration from our legacy Halo quoting system to the modern Guidewire platform, ensuring a seamless and efficient transition.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point and lead troubleshooter for all critical issues across both Halo and Guidewire, driving incidents to a swift and permanent resolution.
  • Architect and document scalable, real-time integrations to replace legacy connections, ensuring seamless data flow between internal systems, and third-party services.
  • Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, data integrity issues, and architectural flaws across both platforms to ensure maximum system uptime and reliability.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, establishing best practices for code quality, testing, and API design.
  • Collaborate directly with product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure technical solutions.

  • Requirements:
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in .NET/C# and the Microsoft technology stack.
  • Core Java expertise
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including the ability to write, debug, and optimize complex queries and stored procedures.
  • Strong understanding of modern web technologies and frameworks, including REST APIs and front-end frameworks like React.
  • Proven experience with microservices architecture and event-driven patterns using messaging platforms like Kafka.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure (including AKS, Azure SQL, and Azure DevOps).
  • Proficiency with CI/CD principles and tools for building and deploying applications.
  • Experience with application performance monitoring (APM) and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, or similar.
  • Strong diagnostic and root cause analysis skills, with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex production issues.
  • Familiarity with any assist tools.
  • Experience with Java, Spring boot nice to have
  • Knowledge of deployment and caching strategies.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development methodology.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage project delivery.
  • Strong communication skills to bridge technical and business requirements.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
