We have partnered with our client in their search for a Java Application Support Engineer in Wilmington, DE.

Responsibilities

  • The role is focused on:
    • Vulnerability remediation
    • FARM findings
    • Bug fixes
    • Minor enhancements
    • Keeping the application running
    • Upgrades such as Node.js / other dependency upgrades
  • Current volume is very high: around 700 vulnerabilities opened in 3 days on the application.
  • Estimated work split:
    • Around 80% vulnerability/finding remediation and keep-the-lights-on work
    • Some feature work or new development if capacity allows
    • Potential feature development on the newer events system if they move quickly through support backlog.

Skills Required

  • - any automation tool: selenium, uft
    - Expert level Jira
    - API testing
    - Jules, Jenkins
    - SQL
    Strong debugging skills.

    Knowledge of network protocols is important due to the type of application support.
    Strong communication skills because they will work across multiple teams.
    Strong organization skills due to paperwork and documentation required to close findings.

Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience, though strong candidates with 2 years may be considered.
