The IT Systems Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating customer IT projects and strategy. The IT Systems Manager will be located at customer sites and is responsible for making technology decisions in collaboration with client staff. The IT Systems Manager will report to the Chief Technology Officer and work closely together to implement client objectives. The IT Systems Manager will meet regularly with client points of contact and coordinate initiatives with other IT team members. 

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

IT Operations Management

  • Develop organizational strategic technology plan
  • Manage day to day IT operations and support in conjunction with helpdesk support team
  • Development, implementation, and enforcement of Cybersecurity policies 
  • Manage technology hardware/software procurement process
  • Reporting and presentation to client executive management 

Client Services

  • Meet regularly with business and technology owners to define business and technical scope and execute projects through to successful implementation
  • Integrate with client staff members and participate in making technology decisions by providing project management and technical expertise
  • Manage detailed project plans, including milestones, resources required, cross-functional dependencies, and use of appropriate technology and tools
  • Engage closely with key stakeholders in business and technology to provide technical advising and project management capabilities.
  • Manage new hire on-boarding process including technology orientation and training

Job Qualifications:

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT industry with 3-5 years in IT Project Management
  • Experience in IT infrastructure planning and development, project management, and policy development.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask at a high level is a must.
  • Experience working with and managing vendors and IT service providers on day-to-day matters as well as longer term planning and implementation.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft operating systems and productivity applications (Microsoft Office).
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, especially pertaining to explaining, educating and understanding the technology needs of an employee base with varying degrees of computer expertise and knowledge.
  • Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products, with an emphasis on creatively developing new and affordable solutions for technology concerns.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Good understanding and technical knowledge of current network and PC operating systems, hardware, and standards.
  • Knowledge of business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations desirable.
  •  Experience running, administering and implementing help desk services, multiple work sites, and remote access services desirable.

Education and Certifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related degree
