IT Project Manager

Title: IT Project Manager 
Location: Bloomington, IN 
Client Industry: Pharma Manufacturing
Compensation: $45/hr. - $60/hr. (Contract) 

We have partnered with our client in their search for a highly organized and proactive IT Project Manager. This role will track IT-related tasks across multiple projects and lead standalone IT-specific initiatives. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with other project managers, IT resources, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure IT deliverables align with overall project goals and timelines. The IT Project Manager will ensure the smooth execution of IT-related objectives, enabling business continuity and supporting manufacturing and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• IT Task Tracking & Coordination:
  • Oversee IT tasks within broader CapEx and operational projects, working alongside engineering project managers to ensure IT deliverables are clearly defined and on schedule.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to identify required tasks, set deadlines, and monitor progress.
• IT-Only Project Management:
  • Lead standalone IT projects, including system upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and software implementations.
  • Develop project plans, define milestones, and manage resources to ensure successful delivery.
• Resource & Risk Management:
  • Ensure IT teams have the resources and tools necessary to meet project deadlines.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that could impact IT-related project deliverables.
• Stakeholder Communication:
  • Act as a liaison between IT, project managers, and other departments to ensure alignment and clear communication.
  • Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including task lists, timelines, and status reports.
  • Support compliance and quality assurance by documenting IT processes and project deliverables to meet industry standards.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or Jira).
• Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., GMP, FDA compliance) is a plus.
• Ability to balance technical understanding with business needs to deliver practical solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT project management, preferably in a manufacturing or life sciences environment (CDMO experience is a strong plus).
• Familiarity with IT systems, infrastructure, and manufacturing/enterprise applications such as ERP, MES, and LIMS.
