We have partnered with our client in their search for an IT Procurement Specialist. The individual filling this role will play a pivotal part in ensuring that the organization's IT contracts are strategically negotiated, managed, and migrated in line with business goals. With a sharp focus on technology-specific contract negotiations, this specialist will work in tandem with legal teams and align with the Procurement Leader to ensure optimized value for the company.
Responsibilities
- Manage all IT-related contracts, ensuring that they align with the company’s strategic and operational needs.
- Lead negotiations for new contracts and renewals, ensuring optimal terms and conditions for the organization.
- Collaborate with the legal team to ensure contracts are compliant with all regulatory requirements and protect the company's interests.
- Spearhead the migration of existing contracts, ensuring seamless transitions with minimal disruption.
- Stay updated on market trends and benchmarking, ensuring that the company is always positioned favorably in terms of IT procurement.
- Build and maintain relationships with major technology vendors including Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft, and others.
- Liaise with the Procurement Leader, ensuring alignment in procurement strategies and decisions.
Skills Required
- Proven expertise in technology-specific contract negotiations with a track record of favorable outcomes.
- Familiarity with major technology vendors' contract structures and negotiation points.
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of IT industry trends and how they impact procurement decisions.
- Ability to handle multiple negotiations and projects concurrently.
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, IT, or a related field.
- A minimum of 6 years' experience in IT procurement, with a significant focus on technology-specific contract negotiations.
- Demonstrable experience in major negotiations with top-tier technology vendors like Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, and Microsoft.
