INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LITIGATION PARALEGAL (DC)
Our law firm client is looking for an Intellectual Property Litigation Paralegal for its DC Office. This is an opportunity to work with a growing law firm with a tremendous culture.
The IP and Patent Litigation Paralegal assists attorneys in all phases of the litigation process from discovery, through trial and post-trial findings and appeals with an emphasis on intellectual property (“IP”) and patent litigation. Manages cases independently and works under the general supervision of attorneys.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inserting tables of contents and tables of authorities into briefs.
- Filing motions, briefs, etc.
- Preparing notebooks for hearings, client meetings, depositions, etc.
- Pulling together case law and other authorities for review.
- Performing docket searches.
- Gathering exhibits for a filing.
- Organizing and maintaining case documents and docket.
REQUIREMENTS:
- College degree or equivalent experience required.
- Three plus years of experience as a paralegal working specifically on intellectual property and patent litigation matters required.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Team player with a positive / can-do attitude.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Works well under pressure and exhibits good judgment and diplomacy.
