We have partnered with our client in their search for an Interim VP, Quality - Sterile Injectable Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

Location: Remote (U.S.-based) - with frequent travel to manufacturing sites

Engagement Type: Full-time interim / contract - ~6 months initially, with potential to extend

Our client is a pharmaceutical manufacturer specializing in sterile injectable products for healthcare providers, with operations across multiple U.S. sites.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced interim VP Quality leader to provide senior oversight and drive momentum across the quality organization during a period of transformation and heightened regulatory focus. This leader will stabilize and advance critical quality initiatives, including modernizing aseptic manufacturing technology, improving product release timelines, resolving overdue investigations, and supporting regulatory remediation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive quality leadership across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Lead and mentor site quality leaders.
  • Oversee aseptic/sterile manufacturing quality systems and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support modernization of aseptic processing technology.
  • Improve batch release timelines and investigation/CAPA closure rates.
  • Serve as a senior point of contact during regulatory inspections and remediation activities.

Must-Haves

  • Extensive quality leadership experience in pharmaceutical / sterile injectable manufacturing.
  • Deep knowledge of FDA regulations and aseptic processing.
  • Proven track record managing investigations, deviations, CAPA, and batch release.
  • Experience leading multi-site quality organizations and remediating regulatory findings.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to manufacturing sites.
