Job #1688186
Contract
Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, USA
100 - 150 per hour (USD)

We have partnered with our client in their search for an interim Sales Assessment Coach and Subject-Matter Expert to support hiring managers across its sales organization. This is a dedicated coaching and advisory role: translating SHL and Mackie assessment insights into practical, commercially grounded guidance that shapes interview strategy and improves the quality of sales-hiring decisions. The role is a critical enabler of a broader commercial transformation, driving greater adoption of assessment-informed hiring practices at scale.

Core Responsibilities
  • Serve as the SME on SHL and Mackie sales assessments - interpret results and translate the underlying psychometric science into clear, actionable guidance for hiring managers.
  • Integrate multiple data points (assessment results, resume, experience, and role context) into a coherent candidate view.
  • Coach sales hiring managers on how to use assessment insights in their hiring decisions and shape effective, role-specific interview strategies.
  • Pinpoint priority probe areas and recommend targeted interview questions based on assessment findings.
  • Build credibility with - and influence - sales leadership, explaining the "why" behind the tools in commercial language they trust.
  • Drive consistency and adoption of assessment-informed hiring practices across the sales organization.

Required Experience

  • Deep expertise in SHL and Mackie sales assessments - hands-on experience interpreting and applying results in a hiring context (non-negotiable).
  • Strong psychometric / talent-assessment background, with the ability to explain the science clearly and credibly.
  • Proven ability to coach and influence senior commercial / sales leaders - including skeptical stakeholders - in their own language.
  • Strong business and commercial credibility; comfortable bridging assessment rigor and real-world sales-hiring decisions.
  • Experience embedding assessment-informed practices at scale within a large, matrixed organization.
