Interim Power BI Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Analyst to provide interim support during a 3-4 month period. This individual will partner closely with internal business and technology stakeholders to develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI reporting solutions supporting operational, ERP, ESG, and maintenance-related data initiatives. This position is remote in the US.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Power BI professional who can quickly ramp up in a fast-paced environment, work independently with minimal oversight, and deliver production-grade dashboards, reporting, and data models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Build and support semantic data models and reporting solutions
  • Utilize Power Query (M), DAX, and SQL to transform and analyze data
  • Support ERP and operational reporting initiatives across the business
  • Gather and interpret user requirements and translate them into reporting solutions
  • Modify and optimize existing dashboards, visualizations, and KPI reporting
  • Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and quality assurance activities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT resources to improve reporting capabilities
  • Develop production-grade analytics solutions with scalability and performance in mind
  • Support ongoing enhancements and reporting requests in a rapidly evolving environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in Power BI development and business intelligence reporting
  • Advanced proficiency with:
    • Power BI
    • DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
    • Power Query (M)
    • SQL / T-SQL
  • Experience building and maintaining semantic models and enterprise reporting solutions
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, ERP data structures, and data modeling concepts
  • Experience working with large operational datasets
  • Ability to independently manage priorities and work with ambiguous business requirements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
