Korn Ferry is seeking a hands-on operational manager to support deployment of a standardized Project Playbook across a national PE-backed commercial MEP services platform. We are targeting candidates similar to operational managers and field-execution professionals who combine:

  • Strong construction or MEP operational experience
  • Process improvement and Lean mindset
  • Workshop facilitation capability
  • Field credibility with PMs, superintendents, and operations teams
  • Ability to influence without heavy-handed change management

This role is ideal for someone who has worked in decentralized, multi-site operational environments and thrives in fast-paced field operations.
What You'll Do

  • Lead operational playbook deployments across partner companies
  • Facilitate workshops with Operations Leaders, PMs, and field teams
  • Drive consistency around:
    • Pre-job planning
    • Daily huddles
    • Short-interval planning
    • WIP and forecasting
    • Labor productivity
    • Closeout and post-job review
  • Coach operating teams through process adoption and execution discipline
  • Partner closely with client Operational Excellence teams
  • Help create scalable operational best practices across multiple businesses

Ideal Background

  • 8-20 years in commercial construction, MEP, industrial, or field services operations
  • Experience in operational excellence, Lean deployment, implementation, or process improvement
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working with both executives and frontline field teams
  • Multi-site, PE-backed, franchise, or roll-up environment experience preferred
  • Pragmatic, low-ego, field-oriented leadership style
