Job Title: Interim Junior Chief Administrative Officer
Location: Preferred Houston, TX (Open to other locations)
Travel: Variable; increases with strategic involvement.
Employment Type: Interim / Contract
Position Overview
We are seeking a resourceful and detail-oriented Interim Junior Chief Administrative Officer to serve as a force multiplier for the Board and senior leadership team. This blended role combines elements of Chief of Staff and Executive Assistant, providing operational, administrative, and light strategic support during a critical organizational transition.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrate strong follow-through, and possess an entrepreneurial mindset. This is not a traditional administrative role. While there are administrative components, the position requires someone who can engage confidently with company owners and presidents, support special projects, and adapt as responsibilities evolve.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted partner to the CEO and two Presidents, ensuring smooth coordination across leadership priorities.
- Attend meetings, draft detailed notes, and manage follow-up actions.
- Coordinate scheduling for leadership and board meetings (not full calendar/email management).
- Support employment agreement processes and assist in organizational restructuring (splitting into two legal entities).
- Collaborate with Presidents on hiring needs and special projects.
- Prepare presentations and reports based on provided data-no financial analysis required.
- Book travel for board members and coordinate logistics as needed.
- Build strong relationships virtually and in person; travel expectations will increase as the role becomes more strategic.
Must Have Qualifications
- Proven Executive Assistant or administrative experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Entrepreneurial, growth-oriented attitude with strong follow-through.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to evolving priorities.
- Professional presence and confidence to interact with company owners and senior leaders.
Preferred Background
- Experience in executive support OR 5+ years in a commercial banking role transitioning into operations.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to iterate as the role evolves.
- Familiarity with PowerPoint and basic reporting tools.
