Role Summary

The Head of Enterprise Technology will establish scalable infrastructure, workplace technology, identity, and IT operations capabilities within a growing, evolving environment. This individual will remain actively involved in configuring, deploying, supporting, and improving technology solutions while setting standards, prioritizing work, and maintaining accountability for delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, operate, and improve cloud infrastructure, enterprise networks, corporate and site connectivity, and other business-critical technology services.
  • Own workplace technology services, including endpoints, device management, Microsoft 365 and collaboration platforms, meeting-room technology, employee onboarding and offboarding, and end-user support.
  • Operate identity platforms, administer access, and implement secure identity configurations in partnership with cybersecurity stakeholders.
  • Establish infrastructure and IT operations standards, documentation, monitoring, incident response, backup and recovery, asset lifecycle management, and repeatable support processes.
  • Lead a small internal team, provide technical direction, prioritize work, and remain accountable for service quality and delivery.
  • Manage managed service providers, technology vendors, and other external partners.
  • Partner closely with industrial and site technology leadership on site connectivity, shared infrastructure standards, construction-to-commissioning requirements, and operational handoffs.
  • Support the development of a disciplined, scalable operating environment as the organization grows.
  • Work across functional boundaries and communicate effectively with executive leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Move comfortably between strategic planning, technical architecture, hands-on implementation, troubleshooting, and operational leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Significant hands-on experience designing, configuring, deploying, supporting, and operating enterprise infrastructure and workplace technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience owning a broad enterprise technology, infrastructure, or IT operations function.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, enterprise networking, corporate and site connectivity, and reliable technology service delivery.
  • Strong experience with endpoints, device management, Microsoft 365, collaboration tools, meeting-room technology, onboarding and offboarding processes, and end-user support.
  • Experience operating identity platforms, administering access, and implementing secure identity configurations.

  • Demonstrated experience managing managed service providers and technology vendors.
  • Experience supporting organizations transitioning from an early-stage or less formal environment to a larger, more disciplined operating model.
  • Experience in energy, construction, industrial infrastructure, data centers, another capital-intensive environment, or a complex multi-site organization.
  • Ability to communicate technical priorities, risks, and recommendations to executive and business stakeholders.
  • Background as a hands-on technology leader, Infrastructure Manager, IT Operations Manager, Infrastructure Architect or Lead, or senior infrastructure engineer with demonstrated team leadership experience
