Korn Ferry is seeking an Interim Field Training & Operations Consultant to support rollout of a standardized Project Playbook across a national PE-backed commercial MEP services platform.
This role is ideal for a candidate with experience in construction operations, field execution, training delivery, or operational process improvement who enjoys coaching teams and helping drive adoption of best practices in fast-paced field environments.
The consultant will work closely with Project Managers, field supervisors, foremen, and operations leadership to facilitate workshops, reinforce operational routines, and support training and change adoption across multiple partner companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Support deployment of operational playbooks and standardized project management processes
- Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and team coaching discussions
- Help reinforce adoption of:
- Daily huddles
- Short-interval planning
- WIP tracking
- Labor productivity routines
- Project closeout processes
- Partner with Operations Leaders and client OpEx teams to support field execution improvements
- Assist in developing training materials, job aids, and operational best practices
- Conduct follow-up coaching and reinforcement sessions with field and project teams
- Build strong relationships with frontline employees and operational leaders
- Help identify process gaps and support continuous improvement efforts
Ideal Background
- 3-8 years of experience in:
- Commercial construction
- MEP or specialty trades
- Field operations
- Learning & development
- Operational training
- Process improvement or project coordination
- Experience facilitating trainings, workshops, onboarding, or operational coaching sessions
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable engaging both field employees and leadership teams
- Organized, adaptable, and collaborative working style
- Field credibility and willingness to travel extensively
