We have partnered with our client in their search for an Interim Sustainability/ESG Associate. This role will provide critical support for a leading investment firm's sustainability program. This role is ideal for an ESG professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can deliver precise, high-quality work across reporting, analytics, and portfolio company engagement.
Responsibilities
- Execute sustainability reporting processes, including SFDR, UN PRI, and EDCI, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Compile and validate ESG data for internal and external disclosures; maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Support portfolio companies with GHG emissions accounting and sustainability assessments.
- Respond to sustainability-related inquiries from stakeholders and portfolio companies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to advance sustainability initiatives.
- Prepare clear, concise communications and assist with committee meetings and program management tasks.
Skills Required
- 4-6 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or responsible investing; experience in private equity or financial services preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks (UN PRI, EDCI, SFDR; familiarity with TCFD, CDP, SBTi, EcoVadis is a plus).
- Hands-on experience with GHG emissions accounting; familiarity with tools like Watershed is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and professional presence to engage senior stakeholders.
