We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Controller to lead and support key accounting operations during a transitional period. This role is heavily involved in the Month-End Close process, which spans approximately half of each month. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and capable of stepping into a leadership position to maintain continuity and accuracy in financial reporting. Role is located in the Bronx, hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Month-End Close process, including detailed review and reconciliation of accounts, journal entries, and consolidation activities

  • Support risk identification related to balance sheet reviews and corporate-level consolidations, with oversight and collaboration from the team

  • Assist in closing corporate books and preparing cash flow forecasts

  • Contribute to the preparation of the monthly board presentation deck, providing key financial insights and summaries

  • Manage/Work closely with Business Unit Controllers, providing guidance and outputs needed to complete BU entries and financial schedules

  • Document key accounting processes and identify opportunities for improvement and standardization

  • Provide transitional leadership and maintain control environment standards during system and process evolution

Skills Required

  • CPA Required

  • Manufacturing or distribution preferred, PE experience preferred

  • Strong technical accounting and month-end close expertise

  • Proven experience as a Controller

Education & Work Experience

  • CPA required, MBA nice to have
  • Accounting Degree
