Permanent
Lynnwood, Washington, USA

A global distribution organization is seeking an Interim CIO to help lead them through a major transformation following several acquisitions. Seeking an Interim CIO who is capable of leading a dispersed IT team through critical IT initiatives, including the migration and integration of ERP platforms across the combined enterprise. This role requires a strategic and tactical leader who can drive execution, build consensus, and navigate complex organizational dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the ERP implementation and integration project (Microsoft Dynamics 365).
  • Lead full lifecycle ERP implementation across enterprise: architecture review, data migration, integration, change management, deployment and post-go-live support
  • Comfortable working with a Systems Integrator (SI)
  • Drive the initiative internally to ensure timely and successful migration/integration across the org
  • Build collaboration and consensus across distributed teams (U.S. and Canada).
  • Create consensus and momentum among the IT groups and establish a roadmap for infrastructure, application, and service delivery that supports the growth agenda
  • Act as a strong, visible leader - politically savvy and confident - to accelerate change, ensure accountability, and deliver results
  • Act as the main technology point-of-contact to senior leadership and business units: translate business priorities into technology strategy and execution
  • Balance high-level strategy with hands-on execution.
  • Drive decision-making and maintain momentum on critical projects.
  • Ensure the IT function delivers both strategic (long-term architecture, roadmap) and tactical (day-to-day operations, stability) outcomes during the transformation period
  • Monitor and report progress against key milestones, risks, budget and benefits to the executive team

Requirements:

  • Proven track record as a CIO, VP of IT or equivalent senior IT leadership role
  • Proven experience leading net-new ERP implementations (Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong leadership presence-proactive, confident, and politically savvy.
  • Ability to manage complex integrations and carve-outs in a high-growth environment.
  • Strong change-agent: able to build consensus across small and dispersed teams, engage business leadership, drive accountability, and navigate organizational politics
  • Experience in a distribution, wholesale or manufacturing environment (advantageous)
  • Ability to balance strategic planning and hands-on execution during a critical transformation phase
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and leadership presence
  • Highly proactive, confident driver that can collaborate with IT groups
  • Able to deliver under pressure and tight timelines, driving measurable outcomes
  • Collaborative team leader and instigator of change capable of building trust, consensus, and accountability
  • Strong problem-solving skills, especially in complex integration/implementation contexts
