We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Interim Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead our information technology department and drive the strategic use of technology to achieve our business goals. The CIO will be responsible for executing the IT strategy, managing the technology infrastructure, ensuring data security and compliance, and fostering innovation within the organization.

We are not looking for someone to come in and do an assessment or come up with strategy plan. We need CIO to come in and hit the ground running with our key projects that are all at the infancy stage.

Position is onsite, in Houston Texas. 2-3 Month Contract Duration

Key Projects:

  • Salesforce Implementation
  • Oracle ERP Implementation
  • Pharmacy Management System Implementation
Responsibility:
  • Collaborate with the executive team to define technology roadmaps and prioritize IT initiatives.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring it supports current and future business needs.
  • Manage hardware, software, networks, and cloud services to optimize performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain robust cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls to protect sensitive pharmaceutical and patient data.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data protection laws
  • Drive innovation in IT through the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies that can enhance research, development, and manufacturing processes.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and patient care.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective technology solutions and efficient resource allocation.
  • Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing IT team.
  • Collaborate with external technology partners and vendors to ensure the best possible solutions and services.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and business units to understand their technology needs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably within the pharmacy or healthcare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical IT systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
